History
Lake City Insurance opened in the summer of 2019. The owner and manager, Pamela Leniuk has been in the insurance industry in both Saskatchewan and Alberta for over 2 decades. Pam has managed brokerages for many years and has found her differentiator – why Lake City clients continue to come back – is seated in her passion for compelling customer service and complete portfolio satisfaction.
When her prior employer sold the brokerage, the decision to found Lake City Insurance was clear. After many discussions with friends within the industry, as well as a referral from a long-time trusted colleague, the process commenced by joining the Excel Insurance group. Excel Insurance Group extended an opportunity that would see Lake City Insurance partner with Excel Insurance Group Lloydminster Inc.
After a mutually beneficial partnership with Excel Insurance Group and Excel Insurance Group Lloydminster Inc, Pam decided it was time to branch out on her own separate from Excel. In August of 2025, the rebranding began and Lake City Insurance (2023) Ltd was formed becoming an independently owned and managed brokerage.

Community Involvement
Lake City Insurance is a locally owned and managed brokerage since opening the doors in 2019. We are actively involved in the community that we all call home.
Chamber of Commerce
Lake City insurance is an active member of the Cold Lake regional Chamber of Commerce since our inception in 2019. Management and staff all actively participate in all Chamber events including Feast at the Beach, BOYA (Business of the Year Awards), Business mixers and a variety of other events throughout the year. Feast at the Beach allows for some team building for the staff, as we volunteer selling tickets in the beer gardens for the duration of the event. Pam has sat on the board of directors since 2020 and is currently in the position of vice chair on the board.
Sports and Recreation
Lake City Insurance supports both local golf courses in Cold Lake by sponsoring a hole on each course. Management, staff and our families can usually be found on either of the courses during the golfing season.
In 2024, Lake City Insurance co-sponsored a donation with Peace Hills General Insurance for the Hometown Turnaround Project. We presented a cheque for $10,000 to the Grand Centre Golf and Country Club for the new club house expansion and bar area.
Charities & Non-Profits:
Lake City Insurance participates in the annual Sparkle in the Park event with Hearts for Healthcare. All staff and familiy take the time out of their busy lives and help set up a display for the event. We also volunteer one evening of our time to this worthwhile cause by greeting guests to the park and displays. The Hearts for Healthcare gala is also a large event that we provide some time for volunteering.
